Re: Looking for my place

Scorpio Moon isn't necessarily a bummer - Steve, who has been assisting you, also has a Scorpio Moon. You, though, might have a unique situation, because your Moon is exactly at 3° Scorpio, theoretically the worst degree for the Moon in the whole zodiac. So, wow, what's a guy supposed to do when an ...

Re: Donald Trump

Is a politician's happiness on election day necessarily a sign of a win? Isn't that what threw people off about Trump's chart? that he seemed pretty unhappy on election day? Correct. Part of the basis of predicting Trump would lose in '16 were Moon-Saturn-Neptune aspects showing a morbid, deeply lo...

I'm torn on that. Several non-stop markers say Dems have a good chance. But last I looked, I think Ryan looked happy on Election Day I need to see that again.

Trump's 2018 SSR

Trump's 2018 SSR will occur June 14, 2018, 9:41:11 PM EDT. Though he may not be at his current legal residence when this occurs, he will (unless things significantly change) be back there soon after. Here is the breakdown for the White House (38N53'50'', 77W02'13'). The main feature is the exactly a...

Re: Interpretation files in Solarfire

Notice that one of the problems is that there is no way to get this file to automatically detect angularity because almost none of it is ecliptical. ("Conjunction with Ascendant or Midheaven" isn't reliable.) So it would be Sidereal astrology without angularity :(

Re: Interpretation files in Solarfire

I understand Jim. This is a nice feature in Solarfire and I certainly see certain advantages with its possible implications. If I evert get back to tweaking them, I'll provide the file for whatever good it is. Here, for example, is what your chardt looks like, Steve, with the "not toiuched in a lon...

Re: Ingress Angularities - Other Locations

In case you live too far east to have noticed, a severe cold front has dropped from Canada into Washington, and moved all the way down the West Coast. Look at the two Saturn lines (indigo) in theses maps for the Caplunar.

Re: US forecast February 13 - March 12, 2018

Arilunar (Feb 20) The Arilunar covers February 20-26. The chart for Washington is almost entirely about Moon-Uranus: They are conjunct (0°23'), with both partile square Ascendant. Moon and Uranus both exactly angular reflects unsettledness and rebellion in mass mind. Herd-like gatherings of citizen...

Re: Interpretation files in Solarfire

I don't use it. I'd like to one day, but I don't have the kind of written material completed that I'd like to include in it. Just fragments. For example, the most important thing would be getting the luminary sign interpretations down to one tight four-line paragraph each, and I've only done this fo...

Thanks, Mike - though I don't have any new status yet. That was just the intensive for the class work. Now I have to organize the information, study it, and pass the exam.

Re: Strategy of natal chart analysis

Given the astrological traditions of "ruling sign" importance, I have long looked, on and off, at whether the Sun-sign ruler has an unusual importance. For the most part, I haven't been able to tell that this was a valid doctrine. Theoretically, though, I've kept thinking it should be. My logic on t...

Re: Strategy of natal chart analysis

Has there ever been Sidereal Research on a planetary ruler of a Sun Sign being much more potent with partile/tight aspects, than the same planet not being a planetary ruler of a Sun Sign. Or, did Fagan/Bradley allow more weight with aspects involving the ruler of a Sun Sign? I don't understand the ...

Re: Tropic of Capricorn & Cancer

Scales, you got it exactly right. Let me say it a different way that might intrigue Steve. The Tropic of Cancer (named in ancient times when it really was Cancer at the Tropics) is the maximum declination of the northern edge of the ecliptic. This means important things to navigators - probably far ...

Science, Terroir & Explanations

I've just finished an intensive course to get my certification from the North American Sommelier Association as a Master of Terroir, i.e., the particular relationship between wine and the context in which its grapes are grown - things like climate, topography, soil, and culture. Today was almost ent...

Re: Hurricane Harvey

FYI, here's the lead-in and lead-out to the discussion in the book: America’s wettest hurricane ever dumped at least 11 trillion gallons of water onto Texas, pooling at depths over five feet in Houston. Like Superstorm Sandy, Hurricane Harvey had its greatest impact after it degraded to a tropical s...

Re: Sutherland Springs church shooting [Shooting]

More information is emerging. The military-style assault appears to have centered on a domestic conflict involving the shooter and his mother-in-law, who attended the church. (This is a preliminary conclusion of the investigation.) Though it occurred at a church (and there was a lot of Jupiter in th...

Depending on how close to 11:30 this occurred, Pluto was closely rising and the Venus-Uranus opposition had just passed the Meridian.
