IC & home

If I had ever doubted that the IC is connected to ideas of "home," that doubt would have been challenged today.

I've lived in the same place for 37 years. Due to a long chain of circumstances, Marion and I are now moving from the place that has been my home almost my entire adult life. We had found the place we want a couple of days ago. Today, around 11:00 AM, Marion confirmed our application had been accepted - we're getting the place we want as of about January 1 - and then we went and closed the deal at 5:35 PM today.

At 11:00 AM today, we find:

1. t. Sun conjunct natal IC (0°03')
2. t. Saturn lower square to local Asc (0°38' for Century City)
3. t. Uranus conjunct SSR IC (0°08' for Century City)

One of those interesting little astrology moments :D

I do not have any doubts at all that the IC is home connected, but also your immediate family (parents at home)
You can see that my SSR this year also brings Uranus to the SSR IC - and it is in opp to natal Uranus which comes to the MC. Well, I moved houses in end of August - so it did not take long after my birthday to kick in.
By using natal birth chart instead of my relocated, the Uranus on IC becomes partile.

I suspect you are stating the relocated IC in your example above. Could you also compare to your natal IC?

SteveS wrote:Jim, I know it pains you to be leaving this home of 37 years, but maybe the real important thing here is you and Marion are together.

When I had to take care of my ailing (in many ways) Mother for 3 years before she passed away in the “Home” I grew up in, t-Neptune was off and on partile cnj my Natal IC with a couple of Stations. Never in my entire life have I been as confused as to caring for her. She fell and had to have a hip-replacement, had to have a major re-section operation of her colon and her mind would at times completely do Jekyll & Hyde stuff which was the most bizarre thing I have ever experience in my life. Her Sun was partile cnj my IC so what Neptune was doing to my IC—Neptune was doing to her Sun. Yes, the IC certainly has much to do with the Home.

No, that was my natal IC. (That's why I wrote "natal IC.")

BTW, to these three transit-based contacts, I also could have added from the Solar Arcs:

4. d. Neptune conjunct natal IC (0°00')
