When using election astrology it is always emphasized to be careful of having a waxing Moon, preferably bright (close to a full moon) and take good care of having a good sign and no malefic aspects to it.
Are you familiar with event charts and wedding or relationship charts with a Sun-Moon opposition and do you know if those were successful?

Re: Full Moon : Moon- Sun opposition
I don't k ow of any (but haven't collected such charts).
Charles and Diana had abundant Sun-Moon oppositions in thr mundane charts (perfect "princess weds prince" stuff), but I don't remember the wedding chart itself.
Generally, I think the traditional election rules that treat things differently from, say, what you would do in a natal should be ignored. They always feel fictional.

Well I guess that answer is basically 'I don't know'.
A waxing moon and a moon-sun opposition is by many astrologers considered a good thing in natal astrology as well... as long as they're not in aspect to malefics.
But it would be very interesting to have some insights into these kinds of charts for couples.

Aside from general aspect theory, Sun opposite Moon seems the perfect symbol for man and woman facing and uniting with each other.
Of course, that's theory.
