SSR 2020 t Saturn-r. Moon

Post by FlorencedeZ. » Sat Dec 26, 2020 1:49 pm

I would appreciate some feedback if possible for the following SSR.
Natal: August 11, 1967, 8:17AM Kortrijk, Belgium
SSR 2020-2021 set up at residence 50*N59' 003*E48' Belgium

The closest planet angular is r. Moon, followed by r. Saturn, t. Mars, t. Uranus and t. Moon. Plus a partile Moon-Uranus angular.

r Moon on Dsc -0°19'
r Mars/Saturn on Asc/Dsc 0°07'
r Saturn sq. IC 0°32'
t Mars on Asc -1°33'
r Mars on Dsc -2°37'
r Pluto on Dsc -3°41'
t Uranus on Asc -3°58'
t Moon on Asc -7°12'

-- t Uranus- r. Pluto 0°17' in mundo
-- t Neptune- r. Pluto 0°21'
-- t Mercury-Uranus 0°43'
-- t Moon-Uranus 0°51'
-- t Mars-Pluto 0°54'
-- t Saturn- r. Moon 0°56'
-- t Mars- r Mars 1°04' in mundo
-- t Moon-Mercury 1°35'
-- t Moon- r. Mars 2°38'

My question is, what is the year like in terms of the most angular planet natal Moon as it receives a partile aspect from t. Saturn?
Is it a benefic year because of natal Moon or a harsh one as natal Saturn and t. Mars are closely involved?
It surely will be full of surprises with t. Moon-Uranus I suppose.
I find this SSR hard to decipher and cannot entirely put my finger on it what to expect out of it.
Thanks for any feedback.

This will be a difficult year. A major consequence of natal Moon so angular is that the person feels all other astrological conditions powerfully and responds to them strongly. Having transiting Saturn partile square natal Moon is going to be felt strongly.

However, Saturn itself is not foreground. The importance of this aspect is only that it's partile, which puts it in a different category. Let me rework the numbers a bit and see where I think the priorities fall.

I get some slightly different numbers. We can discuss later why this is so, but for now let's just focus on what's foremost in the chart.

t Moon on Asc -7°13'
t Uranus on Asc -3°59'
r Pluto on Dsc -3°42'
r Mars on Dsc -2°38'
t Mars on Asc -1°34'
r Saturn sq. MC -0°32' (on Asc +2°30')
----------------------------
r Moon on Dsc +0°40'
r Uranus on Dsc +9°50'

t Moon-Uranus conj. 0°52'
t Moon-Mercury sq. 1°35'
t Moon op. r Mars 2°38'

-- t Uranus sq. r Pluto 0°17' mundo
-- r Mars-Pluto conj. 1°04' mundo
-- t Mars op. r Mars 1°04' mundo
-- t Uranus op. r Mars 1°21' mundo
-- r Moon-Saturn op. 1°50' mundo
-- t Mars op. r Mars 2°08' mundo
-- t Mars op. r Moon 2°14' mundo
-- t Mars-Uranus conj. 2°25' mundo

Other partile
t Neptune op. r Pluto 0°22'
t Mercury-Venus sq. 0°30' mundo
t Mars-Pluto 0°54'
t Saturn sq. r Moon 0°57'

It's a difficult chart from several perspectives, suggesting struggle and perhaps - more likely that this person will hurt themselves than that others will hurt them (though either is possible). Given the multiple Mars-Uranus combinations, an accident is the most likely form (but it need not be an accident that causes physical harm: It could be hastiness and pushing too fast and too hard in other matters, or interpersonal "accidents," etc.)

The single closest aspect is natal Saturn, square MC within half a degree. Natal Moon is only 0°40' from Dsc. More than the square (even partile) from a non-angular transiting Saturn, natal Saturn opposes natal Moon within 2° across the horizon (mundanely) even though they aren't opposed ecliptically. Class 1 angularities (within 3°) also include natal Mars, which transiting Moon opposes. Natal Mars-Pluto mundanely have moved into close conjunction, one being 2°38' above Dsc and the other 3°42' above so that they are only 1°04' apart.

Adding transiting planets, we primarily find transiting Mars - less than 2° below Asc, opposite natal Mars within about 1° and natal Moon within about 2°.

With just what we have so far, we find a year when this person is acutely responsive to circumstances, feeling and responding to every circumstance that flits back in an active environment. Natal Mars and Saturn foreground with Moon mean she (I keep thinking it is a "she," so forgive me if I get lazy and pick) struggles quite a lot, takes on a great deal, possibly burns herself out, and causes most of her own troubles - "afflicting" herself, if you will.

Yet transiting Mars opposes natal Moon and Mars. This shows struggle, that there is a Me vs. Thee battle of some kind in the middle of this. It can indicate a lot of energy, a lot of hastiness, perhaps major productivity, but also (with two Marses and a Saturn to exactly angular Moon plus the non-foreground Saturn's aspect - making it two Marses and two Saturns), a risk to health. Even more easily, it is a risk to mood and emotions, having little patience for frustration, being short-tempered.

SSR Moon to Mercury-Uranus gives quickness of mind, fascinating new circumstances, new studies, things learned, as part of an ongoing change of circumstances that require frequent, quick adaptation.

Notice that the Saturn transit to natal Moon is supplemental to all of this. If the chart overall were positive, I wouldn't think much of it - perhaps suggesting it means working hard, hitting a few frustrations with eventual success, a need to watch burn-out. But in this frankly difficult, challenging SSR, it just makes things harder.

Uranus transit to Pluto, of course, means things are in flux with lots of change. The part not yet emphasized, though, is transiting Uranus opposite natal Mars (1°21') and the foreground Mars-Uranus conjunction (2°25' mundo). This is where I saw the potential for accidents of one kind or another.

At its best, this is a very industrious chart, capable of accomplishing a lot. Even with this, it shows difficulties, most of which she creates herself (including those that are caused by impatience and hastiness).

Or, at least, that's what 10 minutes or so of looking at it suggest to me. Does this help?

PS - The Jupiter-Saturn conjunction just occurred exactly square this SSR Ascendant. That transit would be rearranging all sorts of things right about now.

Wow, thank you so so very much Jim. (it's a male chart)
Reading about t.Saturn being supplemental to r. Moon, making it in this case even harder, makes a lot of sense.
I am going to go through it all carefully and look at the minor differences.
I had r. Moon +0'19' on Dsc in the spreadsheet.

Maybe its the coordinates as I have taken the exact place of birth of the hospital in Kortrijk, however the town is small.
I know there is a lot of mental activity and the person in charge is doing a lot more meditations and mindfullness this year.
And indeed, there is a lot of friction and irritability with others going on.
Many thanks again it's really good to study this as there is so much going on in this SSR.

Regards,
Flo

The Demi Lunar of Dec 24 has t.Mars square t.Pluto 0°14'.
Angularities are:
t Pluto sq MC 0°59'
t Mars conj. IC 1°57' in mundo

additional: t Neptune conj. r.DSC 0°41'

Both r.Uranus and r.Pluto are squaring ASC resp. 1°22' and 1°52'. This makes their midpoint 0°30' square ASC.

Is the t Mars-t Pluto also accident prone like you were saying above for the SSR?
It seems quite a shake with natal Uranus/Pluto?
Or it may be an explosively energetic, hardworking and industrious time with possible burn out?

Thank you. Regards,

Transits with no connection to any of your natal planets, or the angles?

I think you can ignore them.

You elsewhere clarified that you wanted more insight into the transiting Mars-Pluto square on angles and the natal Uranus-Pluto conjunction on angles, since you couldn't find much.

A typical interpretation of transiting Mars-Pluto in a lunar return is given here:
https://solunars.com/viewtopic.php?f=53 ... 1430#p1444
It reads:
One is forced to stand accountable for one's actions (with swift, unapologetic consequences); otherwise, to take unusual initiative amidst urgent events (air of crisis or emergency). Suspenseful, tense. Unprecedented force (possible aggression, belligerence, or attack). Consequences of cumulative stresses. (STATS: Slightly frequent for weddings.)
My best interpretation of the natal Uranus-Pluto aspect is given here:
viewtopic.php?f=16&t=177#p1173
Though there is a little more on the page (a little fine detail), my summary is:
Feels unbound by precedent, custom, convention, or authority: willing to ignore, challenge, or forcibly reject them. Open to new ways, wider horizons; yet rarely disruptive without immediate cause. Physically restless, impatient (possibly frustrated, angry). Authenticity & creative self-expression arise best from solitude (vacuum)...
Is the t Mars-t Pluto also accident prone like you were saying above for the SSR?
It seems quite a shake with natal Uranus/Pluto?
Or it may be an explosively energetic, hardworking and industrious time with possible burn out?
I was taking specifically the Mars-Uranus elements in the SSR as tipping toward an accident, although that's hardly unheard of with Mars-Pluto also.

First, we need to put this in perspective: It's a Demi-SLR, a chart for two weeks. Its period of effect is also more than half over, so if your friend is still healthy and sound, then he's probably OK in this regard.

While a physical accident is possible, I might expect a "social accident" more than anything else from this chart. The orbs of aspects and angles are quite close, so this would probably be one of the more important two-week charts of the year. Let's break is down a bit: Transiting Mars and Pluto in aspect on the angles suggests (as you say) explosive energy, or great, eruptive force. The universe is quite aggressive toward him (transiting Mars) and demands extreme "no BS" authenticity and response to conditions. This gives the "put up or shut up" quality often attributed to transiting Mars-Pluto. Think of it, perhaps, as Pluto saying "don't look away! don't let up!" to the Mars conditions which sometimes feel brutal. (They may not be brutal, but the intensity makes them seem it.) Accidents are possible; it could be explosively sexual as you suggested before; it could be a great deal of work and dealing with tough circumstances. It can feel stressful, demanding, "no let up," as suggested in the interpretation above. People are sometimes hospitalized under Mars-Pluto but it is usually for consequences of extreme physical or psychological stress. Depending on his occupation, during this pandemic period his current work conditions could be adding extreme stress; or some social (interpersonal) circumstance could do this. It probably feels more or less like the world won't give him a moment's peace.

And his response? (Or possibly the circumstances bringing this impact from conditions around him?) This is shown by his natal Uranus-Pluto aspect coming to the fore. All this really does is make his natal aspect more powerfully expressed, so we can use the natal Uranus-Pluto interpretation (but tip our language a bit more toward events). Natal Uranus and natal Pluto foreground means that one's, respectively, needs for freedom and renewal and needs for authenticity are foremost. I get the feeling that he is under enormous pressure and wants to break out. (I keep getting a picture of a doctor working inconceivably stressful hours in a pandemic-filled hospital for weeks or months on end. That's probably not the literal detail here, but it's the feel I get of his conditions for a week or two.)

This is why I spoke of a "social accident." Literal physical accidents are rare in life, but there is indeed a sense that he "breaks" something - or at least needs to break something, to break out, disrupt circumstances, tell somebody off, ignore and forcibly reject what's expected of him, tell the world back that he's done with some kind of BS and just needs to get the hell out of his conditions and do something that feels more true to himself.

Since, as you point out, transiting Neptune is slowly crossing one of his natal angles, and both his SSR and Demi-SLR have Moon strong, he's probably feeling these things even more intently than if a similar chart occurred at some other time.

Approximately today, and for the next couple of days, transiting Mars is opposite natal Moon. All these Mars pressures (whether frustration, sexual pressures, or whatever) are likely coming to a head. If something is going to trigger him to lose his cool and erupt a bit during this fortnight, it will probably be in the next couple of days.

He's approaching a progressed Moon-Sun conjunction in a couple of months, a mark often of a new, important relationship but especially of a new cycle in life, almost like a Pluto transit on its own. Between now and then, though, he'll have a progressed Moon-Saturn opposition so there will be pressures and loss (separation) - "costs" to him - on the road to starting that new cycle.

Thank you very much Jim for your reply.
I am learning a lot from what you describe.
And it's true that my acquaintance works at several hospitals under great strain at the moment.
Almost reaching the psychological limits.
Thank you for explaining the aspects.
I was also very concerned for natal Uranus-Pluto as you once attributed schizophrenia to this aspect and I wondered if this could go beyond that, having too much stress going on in life and at work. That one would have a mental break down.
The transits look indeed severe and I hope for the best.

Flo
