Cyclone Fani

Post by Jim Eshelman » Fri May 03, 2019 8:11 am

May 3, 2019, 9:30 AM, Odisha, India (use Bhubaneswar)
https://www.cnn.com/india/live-news/cyc ... index.html
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyclone_Fani

Cyclone Fani made landfall in Odisha, India. It's India's strongest tropical cyclone in 20 years. It reached Category 4 levels (almost Cat 5) with 155 mph sustained winds, which slowed to 115 mph winds by the time it made landfall.

The capital of Odisha state is Bhubaneswar. Absent better information, I'm using these coordinates. The storm landed as Saturn and Pluto approached Descendant.

So far, two people have died. A million people have been evacuated in anticipation of the storm. The next risk is in Bangladesh where such storms often cause vast destruction and numerous casualties.

Post by Jupiter Sets at Dawn » Sat May 04, 2019 12:34 am

May 4, 2019 2:20 PM local time Bangkok Thailand, new king accepted 7 tier umbrella, 2:30, put on crown.
Accepting the umbrella is the actual mark of the ascencion to the throne.

If that time is close, then the decision came down as Uranus had just passed MC and Sun approached it, on a day when Mercury squared Pluto and Mars opposed Jupiter.

Uranus themes the CAPLUNAR also, 0°47' from WP and conjunct Sun (on the other side of WP). Angles in Columbus, the capital, are barely different, but throw the attention on Sun, with Uranus as a secondary.

Similarly, for Cincinnati. the Arilunar had Sun rising most closely, a 08' Moon-Uranus mundane conjunction, and Moon with Mercury-Pluto ecliptically. This ALL sounds like shaking things up, calling a thing what it is, and rearranging the paradigm. For Columbus, Uranus is 15' from EP, 0°01' from conjunct Moon in mundo, plus Sun is pulled back a couple of degrees from the angle, i.e., Columbus is not where the power rests at the moment.

Uranus also marks the day in Cincinnati. CapQ MC squares Uranus within 1° for the decision. The CanQ looks more like a hard smack-down, though, with Dsc conjoining Saturn and Pluto on either side and MC square ingress Saturn. (Several times I've seen these two quotidians show different concurrent sides of an issue - e.g., in marriage rights decisions - with the CapQ more likely to show the prevailing view and the CanQ the secondary or grumbling loser view - but only when people are so divided on an issue that "both sides of the story" are a big part of the prevailing reality of the day.)

It was a day well-suited for saber-rattling with Mars opposite Jupiter (and, perhaps, both luminaries in Aries, heading for today's New Moon). Mercury also squared Pluto.

Centering attention on Pyongyang, North Korea has a bellicose quarter. The ARISOLAR has Mars 1°26' from Zenith. The CAPLUNAR shows success - similar to "space race" launch successes - with Jupiter 1°36' from Dsc and Mars more distantly rising (squared by Neptune).

For the day, the CapQ was dormant but the CanQ has clearly militaristic implications. Quotidian MC is square ingress Mars.

This one worries me a bit because they haven't been bragging like usual. Kim just came back from meeting with Putin, they launch this under indications of military intent and technical success (technical success combined with covert aggression). Historically, Kim has been all about bragging rights (and bragging), and this seems something different, ore like "getting down to business."

Thailand was ready for a change in leadership this year: The CAPSOLAR's Sun-Uranus conjunction falls close to its angles, with Pluto on WP.

Further change (but less attention on royalty per e) shows in the Week chart, the ARILUNAR, with Uranus 0°09' from Dsc. (Moon, Sun, Mercury, and Pluto are more widely foreground.)

More solar symbolism comes from the daily timing: Transiting Sun conjoined Capsolar Moom, exactly on CapQ WP. The day's Mercury-Pluto square fell on Bangkok's Capsolar angles, with Saturn transiting its WP (I don't know the story: Was there a recent death of the old king?). Strikingly, transiting Jupiter crossed Bangkok's Cansolar MC within 0°22' for the enthroning (opposed by Mars, which was crossing IC and squaring Asc).

Waukegan silicone plant explosion

Post by Jim Eshelman » Sat May 04, 2019 10:13 am

May 3, 2019, about 9:30 PM, Waukegan, IL

An explosion at AB Speciality Silicones in Waukegan (north of Chicago) has killed at least one person, with two people still missing. Causes are still being investigated. The explosion caused ground shaking, according to the sheriff's tweet. First estimate is that damages are around a million dollars.

If the time is right, the moment was primed for chaos, fiery eruption, and probably chemical accidents: Mars, Jupiter, and Neptune were all tightly angular and Moon was 0°07' from conjunct Uranus.

Waukegan was primed for at least one costly and probably deadly event this year. The CAPSOLAR has Saturn 0°06' from Eastpoint and a more widely foreground Mars-Jupiter. "Costly" is an overlapping keyword.

This became more distinctly explosive for the quarter: Waukegan's ARISOLAR has Uranus 0°46' from IC with a distantly angular Saturn.

In the CAPLUNAR, a Moon-Pluto conjunction is on IC (more widely conjunct Saturn). Then the ARILUNAR for the week went crazy: Pluto 1°49' from MC, Sun 0°12' from Asc, Sun-Pluto in 1°31' mundane square, Moon conjunct Uranus mundanely (0°26') and Mercury-Pluto ecliptically, all on the angles. Saturn more widely angular with a 1°03' Mercury-Saturn mundane square. It literally just EXPLODES in hits and metaphors on all sides.

For the day, CapQ MC squares ingress Uranus (partile) with lesser hits like transiting Moon to its EP. Transiting Sun has conjoined CapQ Moon the last couple of days, and seems to have been setting off all sorts of things worldwide, though it doesn't link distinctly to Waukegan.

Transiting Mars crossed CAPSOLAR Descendant for the explosion (0°14'), though Venus concurrently crossed its IC. Also, this was part of the ongoing Mars-Jupiter opposition - transiting Jupiter remains within 2° of Capsolar Asc, but farther than Mars, so the main message is "costly." Venus and Jupiter are also consistent with a low death count.

Daily indicators just keep popping: CanQ Descendant conjoined transiting Saturn (1°08'), ingress Pluto (1°45'), and transiting Pluto (1°29'), falling 0°11' from the Saturn/Pluto midpoint. All of this fell in the midst of Neptune's months-long conjunction with Cansolar Dsc (0°10' for the event).

Russian passenger jet

Post by Jupiter Sets at Dawn » Sun May 05, 2019 3:47 pm

May 5, 2019 Sheremetyevo, Russia, took off at 18:04 local time, landed at 18:31 local time
Aeroflot Sukhoi Superjet 100-95, flight SU-1492, Moscow to Murmansk with 73 passengers and 5 crew caught fire after returning and landing at airport north of Moscow, having possibly been hit by lightening.

It lost communication with the ground during the return, but was able to communicate with the tower using transponder codes. It was a hard landing, and the plane ran off the runway into the grass as the rear section burst into flames. Passengers escaped through front hatches, crew escaped cockpit using ropes, 13 dead, 28 missing, 35 known to have escaped. The tail section of the plane completely burned down.

Emergency services reported the fire was extinguished about 45 minutes after landing.

The old king died about two years ago. The new one has technically been king since his father's death, but this was the crowning and ceremonial ascencion to power and the end of mourning.

Storm event

Post by Jupiter Sets at Dawn » Sun May 05, 2019 11:14 pm

May 5, 2019 "around" 4 PM, Aurora NE hailstorm. People had to get out the shovels to clear roads and sidewalks.
May 5, 2019 "just after" 5:30 PM Lincoln NE, tornado touchdown. Minor injuries, but a local landmark ice cream store was demolished, and the Harleys took to the air at a local motorcycle dealership. After the storm there must have been 100 videos posted on Facebook, Twitter, etc.
Same storm.
All day Lincoln had hurricane level winds.

Colorado school shooting

Post by Jim Eshelman » Tue May 07, 2019 5:36 pm

May 7, 2019, just before 1:53 PM, Highlands Ranch, CO 39N33'22", 104W59'52"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/STEM_Scho ... h_shooting

Shooting at the Denver-area STEM School Highlands Ranch (7 miles from Columbine) killed one student and injured seven others. Two suspects are in custody.

The area has a primarily benefic CAPSOLAR for the year and ARISOLAR for the quarter - the latter having Jupiter rising (exactly square Venus) as its only important characteristic. The CAPLUNAR has Mercury and Venus tightly straddling Descendant, again a primarily benefic chart and the ARILUNAR has Venus closely rising. I don't recall ever seeing ANY event for which the two primary solar ingresses (year and quarter) and two primary lunar ingresses (month and week) were both so purely benefic!

But the Capsolar is actually dormant, so that Venus and Jupiter 4° either side of Ascendant don't actually mean anything. (The Cansolar is also dormant.) However, that still leaves the quarter, month, and week charts strikingly benefic.

The CapQ suggested something startling and revealing, with ingress Mercury on MC and ingress Uranus rising. (Even then, transiting Venus was on CapQ EP: a nice surprise.) The first chart at all to show any trouble was the CanQ, with MC conjunct ingress and transiting Neptune.

It is quite a puzzling set of charts. We may learn more as the news cycle unfolds, or this may be the grossest failure of Sidereal ingresses I've ever seen. There's a chance we have something to learn from this.

41 of the 78 people people on board died in the fiery crash landing of a plane at Sheremetyevo Airport in Moscow. The plane radioed distress immediately after taking off and looped back, landed hard (bouncing once), caught fire, and skidded along the runway aflame. Almost half the people aboard survived by evacuating.

The crash fittingly occurred with Mercury and Uranus straddling Descendant, Mercury 2°06' below and Uranus 3°22' above, Me/Ur being 0°38' from the angle.

Another aircraft accident this time in Myanmar.

Post by Jupiter Sets at Dawn » Wed May 08, 2019 9:09 am

Flight BG-60 from Dhaka (Bangladesh) to Yangon (Myanmar) with 29 passengers and 4 crew, landed on Yangon's runway 21 at about 18:50 local time (12:20Z) but veered left off the runway and came to a stop on soft ground. The landing gear collapsed and the fuselage broke into three sections. All 33 occupants received injuries, 19 of them were taken to hospital, but no life-threatening injuries.

Getting a lot of slid off runway accidents with a variety of outcomes, from nobody hurt thru pets were drowned, to a lot of people died a fiery death.

The Uranus-Neptune semi-square hit 00' again, I'm curious if that is somehow connected?

Anyway, Yangon has a challenging year, including for transportation: The Capsolar has Pluto and Sun closely setting, Sun close mundane square to culminating Uranus, and Mercury (conjunct Saturn) on WP. The Caplunar replayed a little of this (Uranus on EP, Moon-Pluto in the upper foreground) and the Arilunar piled a lot of Mercury-trouble on the angles: Moon-Mercury setting square Saturn-Pluto on IC in various orbs ecliptical and mundane.

As for daily timing, transiting Pluto is a few minutes from Capsolar Dsc today. CanQ has Saturn on Asc.

Harlem fire kills six

Post by Jim Eshelman » Wed May 08, 2019 12:13 pm

May 8, 2019, 1:45 AM, Harlem, NY

A fire in Harlem killed six members of one family, including four children (ages 3 to 11).

Harlem's ARISOLAR is harsh, with Saturn 1°18' above Asc, Pluto 1°13' below (thus a 2°31'conjunction and a 03' midpoint).

The Caplunar has Sun-Uranus setting (fine enough but not exactly on target).

The CanQ brings home the fried bacon: CanQ Dsc conjoin ingress Mars, transiting Venus on MC, transiting Saturn on ingress Pluto on WP.

It goes to to the full house next for a vote. Nadler says we are now in full constitutional crisis.

This is a week of very big surprises. -- The other two Moon aspects are connected: Moon conjoins Mercury 0°56' and squares Pluto 1°52'. Though we can interpret Moon-Mercury and Moon-Pluto separately, I think the weight goes to the partile background Mercury-Pluto square highlighted by Moon's touch, which says that this week's surprise is information, likely exposed from deep investigation. {emphasis added}

Virginia gas station explosion

Post by Jim Eshelman » Sun May 12, 2019 12:49 pm

May 10, 2019, 9:30 AM, Buena Vista, VA, 37N46'59'', 79W21'30''

After an explosion at a Virginia gas station (South River Market), three sets of human remains have been found (so far unidentified). Three to five other people are missing.

One witness reported an 80-foot "tower of flame and smoke going everywhere and debris everywhere" turning into "utter devastation."

NBC says this was Saturday morning,CNN and ABC say Friday morning. NBC and CNN say 9:30, ABC and the Roanoke Times say 9:50. It appears that Friday morning, 9:30 AM is correct. Most sources only say Rockbridge County, ABC and the Roanoke Times were clear that it was in the small town of Buena Vista, with the Times detailing that it is "north of Buena Vista at the intersection of South River Road and Old Buena Vista Road."

I found the (former) gas station at the road intersection on Google Earth here, giving the coordinates above.
https://earth.google.com/web/@37.783053 ... cRgBIAEoAg

The explosion occurred as Neptune crossed Midheaven, soon after Mars rose.
