Crimean Bridge explosion

Post by Jim Eshelman » Mon Jan 09, 2023 7:25 pm

October 8, 2022, 6:07 AM EEDT, Kerch Strait (specifically, 45N18'08", 36E30'41")
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2022_Crim ... _explosion

An explosion temporarily crippled the Crimean Bridge (previously known as the Kerch Strait Bridge, which has lanes for both cars and bidirectional traffic. The bridge was critical to Russia's ability to delivery military forces, equipment, and supplies into Ukraine. Though it is being repaired, the explosion interrupted Russia's ability to wage war, gave a powerful morale boost to Ukrainians, and further showed the weakness of Russia's overall position. (Russia owns the bridge.)

It is presumed (but not confirmed) that Ukrainian operatives or sympathizers are responsible for the explosion. The explosion ignited seven fuel cars causing a fire down part of the bridge. Three people died in the explosion.
This is the strongest set of charts we've seen in a long time. They are quite remarkable.
