A star on the lion's back; it's name literally means "girdle." Ptolemy attributed it to Saturn and Venus, which Robson and Ebertin copied.
Robson said it “…causes benefit of disgrace, selfishness, egotism, immorality, meanness, melancholy, unhappiness of mind and fear of poison, and gives an unreasonable, shameless, and egotistical nature.”
Ebertin credited it with an “alert mind" and "inclination to melancholic moods.” Conjunct malefics he says it gives “danger of poison and dis-ease of the intestinal tract”
Brady says, “The planet that is involved with Zosma will potentially involve suffering, perhaps through the per-son’s naivete allowing them to be led into a victimizing situation or perhaps by their working as a social worker or caregiver. This is not a star or glory and fame but rather with the invisible work of dealing with the victim in oneself or in others.”
